You started with lesbian girls story and now you’re kind of straight girls, even the maternity affects you in a good way. And how should those young gays and lesbians feel who’ve believed you were one of them? It was a lie?

Yulia Volkova: I didn’t quite get it, the maternity has nothing to do with being or not being gay. Gay couples can also raise children.

Lena Katina: We’ve got a blog at our homepage which is written by our team from the name of an invented character – some Insider. So in one of his last posts there was probably the most precise answer to this question. Yulia and me, we were never lesbians, but the hint and the image we got helped thousands people to open up and not be afraid to say “I love you” to a person despite of his or her sex. This is the power of art that showed that love has no boundaries.

Lena: What does it mean – “220 na sebya, 220 na nee”? For me it means extreme despair, for one it could be ecstasy, for the other it is just a phrase from safety tips while working with electricity. And there could be 220 interpretations more – and all will be true.

Yulia: And the video is pure post-modern-ish, which, I’m sure, will cause a lot of misunderstandings. But we’ve created this straight-out piece that we’re not ashamed of. Nobody can say we did a sloppy job just to make quick money.

Hi… Checked out our site… saw couple of Egypt pictures. When we were leaving for Egypt, it was rainy. Me and Yulia entered the plane, found our seats, I was by the window. I watched the raindrops at the plane window… You know, they look like a human life. I mean, a raindrop falls on a window surface, starts to slowly move down taking little drops around into itself, becomes big and at some point rushes down – because it got heavy – and leaves little tiny drops behind. A man also absorbs many many things in life and… dies leaving kids afterwards. Or leaving something else.

Yulia’s better. She’ll be having some check-ups. If she thinks it’s necessary, she’ll tell about it herself.
